The Full Story
About
The Whatcom Maritime Museum began with a small group of dedicated volunteer members from its parent organization/ Whatcom Maritime Historical Society. Using artifacts that were donated or on loan to the WMHS and artifacts and materials collected by the members, a display was opened at, Chrylsler Pete's: Marine Sales and Equipment, located at 1000 "C" Street in the Port of Bellingham. One of the larger artifacts, a reciprocating steam engine, was salvaged from the bottom of Lake Whatcom as a result of a project called blah blah blah.
